Down to earth GOOD FOOD and GOOD SERVICE!

You won't leave hungry from George's....he expects his staff to be courteous and efficient. My family had been going there for years....my dad nearly every day since George was on W 65th years ago! (he knew good food!) Sadly, Mom and Dad are gone. I have moved to Mansfield but,I go back to Georges every chance I get. I wish them the best....they have done their best to serve excellent hot, tasty, generous portions to all their customers. I especially love the country fried steak with the "special" sauce. Gotta go back soon! God's blessing to all!!

The Workers are the ones leaving the Good Comments !!

Been here many many times the food is good and the service is kinda bad depends on who you get to serve you. But since Gus past away the place has gone to hell and back. They have hired some sluty people to serve you, take forever to get your drinks and if you get Donna oh boy she will tell you her life story instead of bringing you the food and if she knows you she will always say oh you can wait .lol. BUT as far as the food is cheap and good .

I think the last review by bonzo is non-sense. Is he sure his name isn't bozo the clown!

i have been eating at georges kitchen 4 over 20 years and have never experienced the issuses addressed in bozo the clown's review. if he doesn't like delicious food served at a reasonable price by wonderful people in a comfortable and clean setting, maybe he should try morton's steak house or fleming's at 10 times the price per person and shut the hell up! i am going to geroge's today 4 the delicious fried walleye with soup and salad and a side of their special macaroni and cheese on fridays only, 4 the crazy price of 7 bucks. george's doesn't need bozo for a customer because they are packed all day, !everyday.

health board inspection needed !

my girlfriend and i stopped there for breakfast one saturday because of someone's recomendations. the place was dirty and unsanitary. i couldnt believe this place is allowed to be open. the silverware was dirty. had to ask for new.the glasware was outdated plastic. my plate had some crusty food stuff stuck to the bottom of it that i noticed only after trying to get through the worst breakfast ive ever had. my omlet was a lazy cooks omlet meaning they mixed eerything with the egg and cooked it. the toast was burnt, and the home fries were so burnt, they were un-edible. i complained and was told thats the way they make em. the service was terrable by some larger gal , slovinly dressed in crappy jeans and tatoo's up and down her arms. i mean honestly, i thought i was having breakfast in some biker bar. the booth seats were terrable and uncomfortable and on the wall next to us was some liquid of some kind that had been splashed on the wall and never cleand. not to mention all the dust thats on the ceiling fans probable falling into peoples food. health board needs to take a close look at georges kitchen. rest assured , i'll never be there again.

A LIL FLUFF AND BUFF NEEDED, BUT WONDERFUL FOOD!!!!

we are seated promptly, never had any issues with our waitresses they truly are a pleasure especially Donna she is our favorite. My husband and I really enjoy going to George's for the food, people, and satisfaction of the food. George and his family are awesome. Only thing I noticed is he does need to fluff and buff his overhead air-vents light fixtures and stuff, but maybe itt's me that just see that don't know but still love the place.

George's Is Worth It!

I have been going to George's Kitchen for the last 27 years. The food is homemade and down to earth. You are always greeted by it's owner George and his son seats you quickly and they are always polite! The waitress's work their butts off and it continually flows with people. Service is great. Once in while someone complains - My experience is that only one time in 27 year did I have a complaint and it was quickly fixed!!! Those who would complain on line probably have not been going their for years like my family. As for the person who said seating isn't big enough-petty, petty. I have 2 really big adults sons-6"3' 300 and 6"2' 260 and we don't have any complaints. Get a life or lose some weight and stop complaining. Yes,the parking lot is small but rarely do we not find a spot. I recommend highly-good service ( once in a blue moon ya might get a waitress someone doesn't like but you can't please everyone and yes, sometimes waitress's have a bad day, I know I was once one in college)

I've read these posts and agree almost 100%. We stop there everytime we come to back to Cleveland. The food is always great and I love the service just like momma's house. Fresh food, clean place. I'm a large over weight American and I fit in the booth just fine. I've always found a place to park and I will go there until they close the place down. When we come back to Cleveland there are two places my wife and I must vist...West Side Market and George's Kitchen. These two are a must.

When you want it FAST!!

Been going there for years. A single person can't cook it them selves for what George's charges for a meal. Many older folks go there because of the low prices and decent quality. Service and quality of the food is decent. Portions are very large. Take the Greek style pork chops for instance. You get THREE pork chops, a salad, soup, choice of potatoe and the vegatable of the day. Too much to eat in one sitting for the average person. We always get a laugh when we order breakfast, it seems like the waitress no sooner takes your order, walks around the corner and is comming back with your order!

Highlight of Our Visit to Relatives

We live in Pennsylvania, North of Pittsburgh. My husband's relatives on his mother's side all live in and around Cleveland. Never miss a chance to eat at George's when visiting. My husband and I do a lot of traveling and have yet to find any restaurant, anywhere in the U.S.A. or overseas that comes close to George's with good food, reasonable prices and amazingly fast service with such a variety on the menu.

I live on Berea Road so, Georges is right there whenever, I need a snack, dinner or breakfast. The Greek Style Pork Chops are awesome. Its enough for a full dinner and a pork chop sandwich the next day! My cousins live in Lorian County and this is our meeting place. Here, we can catch up on family news, get our grub on all at affordable prices!

Looking for great food at a fantastic price?

We have been going to George's Kitchen for over 20 years now, and it's still our favorite for great home-style meals with large portions and all the soft French bread you desire. My favorite is the country-fried steak meal with a side salad or soup, which can be added at a very low cost. We're thrilled with the prices, and the service is always friendly and professional. Love the fact that George is frequently there to greet us and that, after all these years, the food, pricing and atmosphere have all pretty much stayed the same while everywhere else prices have increased or quality has decreased.

Great food and portions with 1980's prices! A Cleveland landmark!

I've been taking 3 generations of my family to George's Kitchen now for at least 20 years. The atmosphere is one of a diner-restaurant, with nice welcoming, warm interior decor and colors. The menu selection is long and plentiful, with a kid's menu too, and service is surprisingly fast, with very professional and friendly servers that seem to actually care. Prices are stuck in the early 1980's, but don't tell George that! Talk about value. $25 can feed a family of four! Anyway, I usually order the 'egg sausage omelet' for breakfast, and 'rib eye steak', 'grilled pork chops', or the 'fishermans plate' for dinner (they come with a salad and sides too). The quality and taste of the food is top notch. This place is well worth the ride from Fairview Park!

Can Feed Four on $20 Bucks!

OMG! After 6yrs of going, I still can't find a better family restaurant or a place that can beat there prices! My family of three eat there for $20 bucks! And the food is to die for! I get the same thing all the time- those Greek-Style Pork chops with the Bake Potatoe! The service is great. The waitress knows us by name & we can ask for them by name, if thier available. George is a really nice guy too! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

I made room for the Pie!

Our waitress was friendly. at first I was a little unsure because she didnt seem thrilled to be waiting on four college students and one adult-but once she realized we wearnt there to hassel her, she was awesome. she was even VERY patient when one of my fellow eaters took about 10 minutes (while she was standing and waiting at the table) to decide between the two things he really wanted. She convinced us all of pie after even though I was pretty full- between my soup, salad, bread, and VERY large dinner. The food was also delicious. And I saw GEORGE! drinking coffee and reading a paper. I love that home-town type of feel.

My mom use to work for George when I was still in her Tummy. I remember sitting on George's lap when I was little and everything. 18 years later and My mom and I still go there and I still get suckers! LOL. I've always gotten the same thing and the waitresses know me and they automatically know what I want. I know that's my familys resturaunt that we can all go to. My children will be going there too.

Home away from home!

I have eaten at George's since 1984. Being a single male and not the most graceful in the kitchen I eat at George's when Mom or another "friend" is not supplying their culinary skills. The food is very good and I never leave hungry. Most meals with dessert end up costing me less than $10.00. Normally $7.00 because I usually don't have room for pie! When I'm there I feel like I'm one of the family!

RUDE WAITRESS

OUR WAITRESS SMASHED OUR DRINKS DOWN ON THE TABLE. SPLASHING US. THEN SAYS "TOUGH". SO, WE MOVED TO ANOTHER TABLE. WE TOLD THE OWNER "GEORGE" , HE REPLIES "GET OVER IT". THEN HE HAS THAT SAME WAITRESS MOVE TO OUR SECTION TO WAIT ON US-- SHE CALLED US "f@@@ING CRY BABIES". THEN WE SAW GEORGE SMILING AND LAUGHING. OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TOLD US SHE HAS WORKED THERE FOR YEARS AND SHE IS ALWAYS THAT WAY. SHE IS SHORT, FAT, HOMEMADE TATTOOS ON HER ARMS, WITH BROWN HAIR AND A PONYTAIL. I WOULD SAY HER NAME - BUT THEY DON'T WEAR NAME TAGS.

Excellent Food, Cheap Prices

I live in West Park and have been going to 'GK' for about 5 years now. It's your typical Family type restaurant diner, but the owners must have forgotten it is 2005. Their prices are more like 1985, and my wife and I eat there for under $20, dessert included! The best part is the food tastes great and is served quickly. Great place!
