Working with her son, owner/chef Sonny Garcia, Virginia Garcia greets guests with smiles and motherly warmth - a warmth matched only, perhaps, by Ginza's comforting miso soup, ladled into lacquered bowls. Although grilled items are available, sushi is the main attraction - unerringly fresh and presented with precision and artistry. Favorite items from the deluxe sushi assortment include red snapper and halibut - exceptionally mild and velvety. Even fish with higher oil contents, like tuna and mackerel, are mild and luscious. Ginza offers several types of sake and imported beer, which accompany the food deliciously. Paper screens divide the seating sections, which feature subdued lighting and relaxing surroundings, and include a section of tables with built-in hibachi grills. Seating at the sushi bar is also available, permitting you to observe sushi chefs deftly slice and roll ingredients into art.
