Gotta love The Coins.
Every time I go home to my old neighborhood where I grew up in Cleveland Heights, I make it a point to stop at the Golden Coins over on Mayfield. Their beers are cheap, their bar food isn't exactly gourmet but it's quite good. The atmosphere is classic Cleveland Heights Dive Bar, but without the kind of divi-ness that makes you want to take a shower after you leave. The patrons are friendly, levelheaded Cleveland Heights folks who want a good place to drink, eat, and relax.
Definitely one of my favorite places simply because it doesn't aspire to be anything than what it really is: A great place to knock back some brewsks and munch on pierogies and chicken fingers with your best friends.
