Chinese anyone? ANYTIME!!!
Our office (in Brooklyn Hts.) has been going there for years, when they shut down for remodeling, it was for much too long, Missed it sooooooooo much! we kept checking every week, and when they finally reopened, we were very exited. The food was always good and the staff, including Rose and Jason were awesome, never had any complaints. Still great food and service and nicer décor. At least once a week a crew of 4 to 6 of us go there at lunch time for comfort yummy food. It is fresh and plentiful and affordable. Too bad I live so far away and can only go during working hours. All of us enjoy it, even when I was going through chemo it tasted good and never got sick from it. No MSG!. Great wonton soup. Keep up the good work, the friendly staff and fast service. Oh yes, save a table for us, will be there soon!!

Great
I have been going almost every week for lunch and the foods was great. This happened to me once and it was with a new waiter. We ask for water and he said they don't have any. Really! He ask if we wanted something else, so we order cokes. Not even a minute later another waiter was holding 2 glass of water for the table behing us. We were charge for the drink, it should have been free. After that, I never seen that waiter again.

They screwed this place up!
Put in a hibatchi, raised the prices. The hibatchi cooked food is nothing specialand there is sushi but who cares? I want the old place back. It's not the same. I've lost my favorite restaurant. I am in tears right now.

Hong Kong Baby!!!!!!!!
So, my husband knew about this place way before me being that I am not from Ohio. I was skeptical at first bc it does have an outdated feel, but once I tasted that pepper chicken I knew it was alllll good! I was a little worried they weren't reopening bc the remodel took longer than expected, but how happy I am to know it's on and popping again! THe staff got better as we became regulars, but the manager is the best he remembers what food we liked and where we liked to sit! Looking forward to going this week to see the new changes!

crying for Hong Kong
Who cares about the habachi. Just open the doors soon we all miss the great food. Our family calls everyday, hoping someone will be there cooking General Sous. We didn't even mind the cock roaches.

Good depending on the day
We have gone to the buffet for years and it is usually good providing it's busy. If not, that may be a different story. Once my Dad could not even eat any food due to a personal medical problem and we had to leave. We were still charge rather than given a rain check since we are regular customers.

Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food is fresh and plentiful. A lot of different tastes. I love the Singapore Chicken. We go there often and always have a good meal. I can't believe some of the bad reviews. Are they talking about the same place?? I can't wait for it to reopen.

Hong Kong Buffet will be closed for remodeling!
Was just at the restaurant and saw signs up that the place will be closing at the end of June 2010 for remodeling. It probably will not reopen until sometime in August. The remodeled restaurant will have hibachi and more of a Japanese steakhouse feel. The name will be changing also, so Hong Kong Buffet will be no more.
Been going to this place for a long time now, it just feels very worn down and tired. I look forward to the change and will be visiting the new place when it opens.

reply to HONG KONG BUFFET NOT!
Hong Kong is one of the best and cheapest chinese buffet's around here.
I have been going there for years and yes they do watch you but people steal food.
does anyone realize the way crab legs have to be brought to us? they are not charging extra because they want to. crab legs are expensive and not to mention the men who have to risk their lives catching them.
try watching "Deadliest Catch" then see how you feel about an extra $3.00

Out of this World Experience!!
I visit my mom 3 times a year coming in from Canada and when I do, Hong Kong is always 1st on the list! The food is tasty and there is always plenty of meat in the dishes. Each sauce has its own distinct flavour and the foodbar is always clean and refilled. I did have a problem with the additional charge for crablegs at dinner. I did not see the small sign on the glass above the crab and found my bill higher than I thought it would be which annoyed me, so now we go to Hong Kong for lunch only and elsewhere for dinner where the crab is included!! The staff is pleasant but some are not so great at the English language that could make someone think they were unfriendly, but I think they are fine.Worth the trip!

All you can eat buffet but not!
My two children and I went there on a Wednesday night before my son left for California. He found the ad and thought this would be a great buffet to try, was he wrong. We were seated and served our drinks and then told we could go eat. When we walked over to the food there was a large sign that said if you wished to consume crab legs you would be charged an additional three dollars per person. I'm sorry but a buffet is all you can eat for a price not an extra price. If this is the policy they should tell you before you are seated and have your drinks. The ad said nothing about an additional charge for crab. The worst part was they did not even keep it filled and watched everyone like a hawk. I was very disappointed in the quality and quantity of food. There was only one beef dish in the entire restaurant, pepper beef which was mostly pepper and onion. Personally I think it's poor form and business to present your check while you are still eating your main course. I had to ask for a refill on my son's drink and she looked at the check sitting on the table made a face and finally took his glass. The selection was poor the food was bad and the staff unfriendly. I would never go back and definitely never ever recommend the place. How they won any awards is beyond me.

Terrible Food
After several visits to Kong Kong Buffet in Parma I will never return. The last visisy there was horrible.
My tea tasted like dish washing soap. The shrimp in the all of the dishes tasted like it had gone bad and was so soft it almost disolved in my mouth. That is NOT a good thing! Properlt cooked shrimp should be firm and a bit meaty. There was a flea in the egg drop soup. The steak in the pepper steak was stringy and gummy. I could go on and on...
How this place stays open is beyond me. Stay away.
