Do you like waiting 1 hr for an appetizer?
Don't go to the Houlihan's in Beachwood unless you have all the time in the world and enjoy sub-par food and service. We went there on a Saturday night (8 PM), because all the other restaurants around that area had a long wait and this restaurant didn't seem to busy since there weren't many cars in the parking lot (which should have been a sign). To make a long story short, the dining room wasn't busy (many empty tables), so we assumed we would be able to get our food at a reasonable time. We were promptly seated and ordered our food within 5 minutes. But after waiting 45 min., we received 2 appetizers, and this was only after the manager came by and asked if everything was fine, which it wasn't. He stated that our food should be out shortly, so we were expecting it within the next 10 minutes since we already waited about an hour. He also stated he would comp our appetizers. Our main entrees came 1 1/2 hours into our dinning experience, which we were not expecting since our food was not that complicated (soup, a steak, burger, enchilladas). Given that they had 1 1/2 hours, we thought that our food would come out, at the very least, mediocre. This was not the case. The food came out cold, the steak was rare (I had asked for medium-rare), and the hamburger was not the same platter that we had ordered (different version). To say that we were disappointed would be an understatement. We decided to pack everything up and go home since it was almost 10 PM and we had small children with us. To make things worse, we weren't compensated for any of the appetizers, as the manager had promised. In the end, we just paid the ridiculously expensive bill (given the food quality and service) and left, and pitched whatever food we brought home, since we were unsure how the cook staff handled the food after the manager spoke to them. Overall, a very poor and disappointing dining experience.

FINALLY!
I haven't been this happy with a meal/service at a restaurant in a while! The food here is so good, i got stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, and the asian chop chop salad. The food may be a little expensive, but definitely worth it!! My server was also really kind. Not really for kids- Definitely need to try this place!
