Greenwich Village Ambiance in Chagrin Falls


The lighting, tables, view, give the NY chic ambiance for a business lunch or family dinner. Had the veggie tofu soup, veggie stir, with brown rice. Simple yet tasty. The owner is also pushing the culinary envelope to enhance the Chinese dining experience. Tom cofounder www.healthyreferral.com

Hunan by the Falls, a perennial placeholder in Live's Readers Poll for Best Chinese, offers an atmosphere that goes beyond the typical storefront setup. The walls of the open dining room are decorated with abstract interpretations of Chinese characters; the menu, too, offers creative twists on old favorites. For an appetizer, try the jade minced chicken - a chicken-and-veggie stir-fry served in a lettuce wrapper - or the delectable spinach pot stickers. Entrees include the tangerine beef, a spicy melange of fried tenderloin steak served in a citrus sauce. Seafood selections include shrimp, scallops and prawns; try the walnut prawns, sauteed and covered in a walnut glaze.
