The portions are large enough to be shared, or leftover for tomorrow.. and always delicious. Salads are good, pastas are always reliable...tasty and never disappointed. the ravioi is delish. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is excellent, or not so great depending on the number of tables.. and the servier him/or herself.. Some are better than others... but dont' be afraid to let the hostess be aware of an extra long wait, or a servier that never returns. But the food, for basic Italian is always reliable.. And now that it is no-smoking..it is Great!!

Dadonna's is a family favorite. I'm so glad they moved to a bigger location. The portions are always huge and enough for dinner the next day. We LOVE the garlic balls that are to die for and melt in your mouth. Everything has great flavor. The appetizer portion of mussels is enough for a meal!!

You're unlikely to walk away hungry from Jimmy Dadonna's. Along with big portions, this Solon establishment serves a basket of homemade pull-apart bread with garlic, butter and parsley. Appetizers include fried hot peppers, an unbreaded version of eggplant Parmigiana and antipasto. Veal is a specialty; the veal Romano, for example, is topped with shrimp, artichoke hearts and bearnaise sauce. Other entrees of note include pasta arrabiata with fresh tomatoes, capers and basil sauteed in olive oil and tossed with linguine; steak pizzaiola (sauteed with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms and black olives in a tomato port wine sauce); and chicken Jobre (a boneless breast sauteed with shrimp in a sherry cream sauce). The bar in particular has a delightful decor, with brick and wood and a stylized painting of a bartender overhead.
