My wife and I went around 6 on a Thursday, and did not have to wait for a table. As others have mentioned, the waitress/server was not prompt. I ordered the tuna medium rare, and it was served medium well. Also, the flavor of the tuna seasoning did nothing to arouse my senses. The portions were generous - enough for two meals. My wife had the crab cakes, and had no complaints. I was also disappointed at the limited menu, which needs to be spiced up in my opinion

I had their ____? salad. It was like eating a pile of grass clippings. Looked nice but it should have been place in a bong and smoked... It was the worse thing I've had at Johnny M's. They should really hire ANYONE will to try new things. The menu has not change mainly I believe because the menu's themselves are encased in plastic and would require the EPA to dispose of. Really Johnny, try some new food and get the 5 spiced beef on the menu... It's getting OLD! Uzi --the whiner

but if you can deal with that, it's worth it. This is definitely "global" cuisine - if you get a burrito, it'll be stuffed with something like black beans and feta cheese. Which, might I add, is DELICIOUS. I lived on Ohio City for a year, and it's practically the only thing open on Sunday, so my husband and I ate through the menu. I've never had anything bad. Make sure you get the Big Plate version of whatever you try! The exotic margaritas (like the mango) are fantastic, and the prices are generally very good, especially for the quesadillas and burritos. Service can be S-L-O-W so be prepared to wait. The place gets extremely loud when it's busy, so it isn't a romantic spot, and you'll be pretty packed in to a tiny, wobbly table most likely, but it's NON SMOKING (yippie!) so you won't have to choke on fumes while trying to eat your delicious meal.

My wife and I had lunch here on a saturday afternoon. It took about 10 minutes for our server to even acknowledge u, then she took our drink order and never came back! Another server brought us water and then went and grabbed our diet sodas. Once we received our food, we had no napkins or silverware. I had to retrieve napkins from the bar. I also had to flag down the server for more drinks. The quality of the food was outstanding, but I hope they can hire some good quality servers!!!

Wylie and I on our usual trip to Johnny's notice something new, 5 spiced beef. Wylie wimps out and does not go for it your's truly does and WOW! it was like a party going on! The beef was so very tender and the array of spices as super, like each bit was a bit different and EXCELLENT! I've told the folks at Johnny's to put the 5 spiced beef on the regular menu but it looks like we'll have to get the pubic involve with either a protest or worse case??? Just kidding, please, please Johnny put the 5 spiced beef on the menu!

I went to Johnny Mango's this past Sat. with my girlfrind Bridget and some of her friends. We had all been there before but you never really appreciate it until you go back in and start smelling the flavors of the night. We started at the bar(naturally) and order a mojito, the bartender suggested a coconut mojito. I agreed and before you know it I was ordering picthers! The six of us enjoyed the drinks and then moved to dinner. Even though I hate tomatos I order the guacamole and chips. It's outstanding! Next I ordered the Pad Thai with extra shrimp and no tofu, please! The pad thai is really the best dish on the menu. The servers and cooks are fun and make the experience enjoyable. They even gave me an honorary hairnet! I wore it with pride. If you go, join the membership club, it's worth it. I can go back and get $20 worth of Mojito's for free(well really $20 off my bill!) ENJOY!

When Cleveland's unpredictable weather is either dragging you down or jazzing you up, escape from or revel in it with a taste of the Caribbean and other international hot spots at Johnny Mango. This Ohio City establishment's colorful decor and exotic drink selection will liven up any party within a moment of walking through the door; lose your inhibitions and relax from a long workday with a refreshing pitcher of mojitos. Nosh on Johnny Mango's signature Caribbean fries, which pair battered, deep-fried plantains with a fresh tomato salsa. To really heat up the evening, try the jerk chicken: Available as a full meal with Happy Beans and fresh-baked bread, or on a sandwich for lighter appetites, this bird will tickle your taste buds with some serious spice. If Caribbean isn't your style or you desire vegetarian cuisine, Johnny Mango has you covered with Mexican and Thai appetizers and entrees, as well as tasty juice beverages made from fresh ingredients obtained at the West Side Market.
