We waited 30 minutes to be seated - with a reservation. We were asked to go to the bar area and wait. When we sat down at the bar - we were asked to move by "G" the bartender, as someone was sitting there - the whole 30 minutes we waited - no one ever sat there. It took our server 20 minutes to greet us. When we ordered the crab cake appetizer our servers response "there is only one on the plate". The surf and turf was not even mediocre - it was gross. It was a dry on top and raw underneath lobster tail, a tough filet mignon served on top of overcooked risoto with globs of mozzarella cheese and mushy tomatos mixed in with a creamy looking pesto globbed on the side - I sent it back - it ruined my appetite. No apology from the chef - my husband had fries with his steak that looked like they came from a frozen bag of fries. Ketchup served in a small gravy boat. The bathrooms were dirty, the stalls were coming unscrewed from the wall, couldn't lock the door because the locks did not match up, toilet paper dispensers broken. When we told our server we weren't going to pay for such an unsatisfying experience, we were told "if you don't pay, I have to pay for this and I have three kids to feed". We negotiated 1/2 of the bill with them and left. Will never recommend or eat there again. The service from the moment we entered was poor at best. We called the owner to complain and we were told "well, you can't please everyone". There was no on-site management. Way over priced for the service and quality offered.

we went to xo sunday evening the place was empty. there were 13 of us and there were 4 people waiting on us. the service was very very slow, good food, but very slow service. also they couldn't remember who got what and forgot our garlic mashed potatos. my husband had to go the bar to get his own drink. other than that the food and atmosphere were great.

My boyfriend took me out to XO on the night of Sept 12, 2006 and proposed to me. That was the best day of my life and now we are going to be getting married on July 7th 2007. The waitress that we had that night was wonderful and she made the night even more special by being so excited for us. We had a wonderful experience and Im glad it happened there.

We picked XO for our New Year's Eve dinner. (14 total people) Our reservation was for 9PM and when we arrived at the restaurant it was about half full.
From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff seemed to be running around confused with the whole process. First, when anyone ordered a drink it would take 2-3 times to remind the waiter, then the drink would finally arrive 10 minutes later. Before the food came out several of us complained to the Manager but nothing changed.
Next, the "food runner" brought out the meals one at a time to the wrong guests. The food (mostly ribeye's, grouper) was cold. My filet of ribeye (which was ordered medium-rare) was very chewy. During dinner I asked the other people how they liked the food and everyone stated that the service and food was aweful.
Many of the guests have eaten at restaurants all over Cleveland and many agreed this was the worst expierence ever.
We will stick with proven winners such as, Blue Point, Red the Steakhouse, Flemings, and Ken Stewart's.

I had lunch here on Friday, I love this place!! The decor is top notch, service impeccable, and the steaks what can I say, melt in your mouth. I had the 6 ounce filet with scallopped potaotes and garlic spinich, hubby had 3 ounce fillet with a jumbo scampi with a tomato /basil risoto. The basil was super intense, could of used a bit of parmesean for balence. But the meal was outstanding. Only thing we didnt like was the lobster bisque, it was runny with way too much sherry. Other than that, this place was put on my -cant wait to return- list. People who think Red is so great need to try this establishment. Hands down XO is better!!!!

Zdenko Zovkic recently retooled his Warehouse District hot spot by butching up the decor ever so slightly and adding more meat - as in aged USDA prime steaks - to the menu. Some of Chef Scott Popovic's creations have carried over from the old menu, including the fried rock shrimp appetizer, served with spicy chili sauce and lemon aņoli, and the lobster gnocchi with caviar vodka cream sauce. The new steak selection features eight- and 12-ounce filets, 14- and 20-ounce New York strips, a bone-in rib-eye, T-bone and flatiron steaks, as well as a gargantuan 48-ounce porterhouse (which the menu politely recommends for two patrons). To accentuate your chosen cut, XO offers peppercorn demi-glace, horseradish cream, hollandaise, bearnaise, XO steak sauce or a red wine reduction. Charmingly, you can end your hip, high-minded culinary experience on a simple note, with chocolate chip and toffee cookies, and a glass of cold milk.
